چکیده
We present a splitting method for the one-dimensional Saint-Venant-Exner equations used describing bed evolution in shallow water systems. adapt flux vector approach of Toro and Vazquez-Cend\`on identify one subsystem conservative (advection system) non-conservative (pressure system), both having very simple eigenstructure compared to full system. The final numerical scheme is constructed using Godunov-type path-conservative pressure system Godunov advection solved following coupled solution strategy. resulting first-order accurate extended second order accuracy space time via ADER together with an AENO reconstruction technique. Accuracy, robustness well-balanced properties are assessed through carefully selected suite testcases. exceedingly simple, robust as sophisticated methods. A distinctive feature novel its flexibility choice sediment transport closure formula, which makes it particularly attractive scientific engineering applications.

Backstepping stabilization of the linearized Saint-Venant-Exner model
Using backstepping design, exponential stabilization of the linearized Saint-Venant–Exner (SVE) model of water dynamics in a sediment-filled canal with arbitrary values of canal bottom slope, friction, porosity, andwater–sediment interaction, is achieved. The linearized SVEmodel consists of two rightward convecting transport Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) and one leftward convecting tran...
متن کاملCentral-Upwind Scheme for a Non-hydrostatic Saint-Venant System
We develop a second-order central-upwind scheme for the non-hydrostatic version of the Saint-Venant system recently proposed in [M.-O. Bristeau and J. Sainte-Marie, Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. Ser. B, 10 (2008), pp. 733–759]. The designed scheme is both well-balanced (capable of exactly preserving the “lake-at-rest” steady state) and positivity preserving. We then use the central-upwind scheme ...
متن کاملSediment transport modelling : Relaxation schemes for Saint-Venant – Exner and three layer models
In this note we are interested in the modelling of sediment transport phenomena. We mostly focus on bedload transport and we do not consider suspension sediment processes. We first propose a coupled numerical scheme for the classical Saint-Venant – Exner model. It is based on a relaxation approach and it works with all sediment flux function. We exhibit that this coupled approach is more stable...
متن کاملNumerical Study of Staggered Scheme for Viscous Saint-Venant Equations
This paper describes a numerical scheme for approximate the viscous Saint-Venant equations. This scheme is called staggered grid scheme which is a robust, simple and strightforward scheme for viscous SaintVenant equations. Some numerical simulations have been elaborated to validate the accuracy of the scheme, such as the calculation of the convergence rate L1-norm error of the scheme, the compa...

We investigate the derivation and the mathematical properties of a Saint-Venant model with an energy equation and with temperature-dependent transport coe±cients. These equations model shallow water °ows as well as thin viscous sheets over °uid substrates like oil slicks, atlantic waters in the Strait of Gilbraltar or °oat glasses. We exhibit an entropy function for the system of partial di®ere...
